Who we are

Bridge Funding Global LLC ("BFG", "Bridge", "we", "us", "our") is a Delaware limited liability company based at 595 Pacific Ave, 4th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94133, United States.

Bridge is a curated membership platform that connects emerging and underrepresented fund managers (general partners, or "GPs") with LPs, family offices, foundations and institutions (limited partners, or "LPs"). We run the Bridge Connect® membership program, the Bridge platform and its tools (including Diligence OS), LP and GP matching, our annual Bridge Conference, the Bridge Asia Summit and other in-person and virtual events, and research on how capital reaches emerging managers.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to https://bridgefundingglobal.com, the Bridge platform, our events, our research, and any other place that links to this Policy (together, our "Services"). It applies to everyone who uses the Services, including GP members and applicants, LP members, event attendees, speakers, partners, and visitors to our website.

In this Policy, "personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual. It includes what some laws call "personal data."

Where this Policy does not apply. When we build or operate a platform or community on behalf of a partner organization (our "Global Ecosystems & White Label" services), that partner decides how the personal information in its platform is used, and its own privacy notice applies. In those cases we act as the partner's service provider and process the information only on its instructions.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, job title, organization, home city, country, LinkedIn profile and other social profiles, and your login credentials.
  • GP application and profile information: fund name, fund number, fund size and fundraising target, assets under management, minimum check size, fundraising timeline, investment strategy and focus, sectors, geographies, team structure, track record and performance information, pitch decks and other materials you upload, and how you heard about Bridge.
  • LP profile information: organization type, investment mandates and preferences, typical check sizes, asset classes, geographies and sectors of interest, and interest in emerging managers.
  • Evaluations, feedback and outcomes: scores, comments and feedback that LPs submit on GP applications and meetings, and investment commitments and outcomes that members report to us.
  • Event information: registration details, attendance, session and meeting preferences, dietary and accessibility needs you choose to tell us, and travel details where we help arrange them.
  • Payment information: billing name, billing address and transaction history. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor (currently Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Research and survey responses: answers you give in surveys, interviews, registration questions and downloadable-report forms, including those we run with research partners.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, form, chat or phone, and your marketing and consent choices.

1.2 Demographic information

Because part of our mission is to widen access to capital for underrepresented managers, we ask about gender, race or ethnicity, or membership in an underrepresented group, for you or your fund team, and whether your fund has a mandate focused on women or underrepresented founders.

Some laws treat this as "sensitive" or "special category" information. We use it only to assess eligibility for our programs, to design our programs, and to produce research and statistics in de-identified or aggregated form. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.

1.3 Information we collect automatically

When you use our website or platform, we and our service providers collect:

  • Log and device data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed, time and date of visits, and time spent on pages.
  • Approximate location: country or city inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.
  • Email engagement: whether our emails were delivered and opened and which links were clicked.

1.4 Information from other sources

  • Other members and contacts: for example, when a member refers you or an LP submits feedback on a GP.
  • Partners and co-hosts: event co-hosts, sponsors and research partners who invite you to Bridge events or programs.
  • Public and professional sources: fund websites, LinkedIn, press coverage, regulatory filings and industry databases, which we use to verify and complete profiles of GPs and LPs.

1.5 Photos, video and recordings at events

We may photograph, film or record our events, including panels, workshops and podcast sessions, and use this material to report on and promote our events. We will tell you at registration or at the venue when this is happening. If you do not want to appear, tell our team at the event or email privacy@bridgefundingglobal.com and we will take reasonable steps to leave you out or remove you afterward.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  1. Run the Services: create and manage accounts, review applications, deliver membership benefits, and provide customer support.
  2. Match GPs and LPs: evaluate applications, recommend matches, schedule meetings, and make introductions.
  3. Run events: manage registrations, badges, attendee lists, meeting schedules and follow-up.
  4. Process payments: charge membership and event fees, issue invoices and refunds, and handle disputes.
  5. Communicate with you: send service messages, event information, newsletters and updates about our programs. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
  6. Research: analyze how capital flows to emerging managers and publish findings, such as our white papers and impact studies. Published findings use only de-identified or aggregated information.
  7. Improve and secure the Services: understand how the Services are used, fix problems, develop new features, and detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  8. Meet legal obligations and protect our rights: comply with law, respond to lawful requests, keep business and tax records, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  9. Any other purpose we describe to you when we collect the information, or with your consent.

3. How we share personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below.

  • With other members, as part of matching. Sharing between members is how Bridge works:
  • When you apply or join as a GP, the profile and materials you submit are shared with the LPs reviewing applications and with LPs you are matched or meet with.
  • When you join as an LP, your name, organization and investment preferences are shared with GPs you are matched or meet with.
  • Feedback that LPs submit on a GP is shared with that GP. We do not disclose which LP gave which feedback unless the LP agrees.
  • Your membership itself is treated as confidential under our Membership Agreement and is not published without your permission.
  • With event partners, co-hosts and venues. For events we run with partners, we may share attendee names, titles and organizations with co-hosts, sponsors and venues so they can manage access, badges and the program. Where a partner will use your details for its own purposes, such as sending you its own marketing, we will tell you at registration and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
  • With research partners. We share information with research partners only in de-identified or aggregated form, under written confidentiality obligations. If a partner asks you questions directly, for example in a survey at one of our events, we will tell you who is collecting your answers.
  • With service providers. We use vendors who process information on our behalf and only on our instructions, including providers of: payment processing; cloud hosting and storage; email, document and collaboration tools; email delivery; video conferencing; e-signature; website development and maintenance; design tools; and analytics. They are contractually barred from using your information for their own purposes.
  • With white-label partners. When you use a platform we operate for a partner, information you provide there is shared with that partner.
  • For legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process or a lawful government request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Bridge, our members or others.
  • In a business transfer. If Bridge is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We may share de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for example in published research and reports. We will not try to re-identify it.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to:

  • keep the website and platform working, including sign-in, security and your settings (essential);
  • understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it (analytics); and
  • measure how our emails and campaigns perform.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the Services may not work. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. Where applicable law gives you the right, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.

5. International transfers

Bridge is based in the United States, and we and our service providers operate in several countries, including the United States, Singapore, the European Union and Tunisia. Your personal information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live, including in countries whose data protection laws differ from yours.

When we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to make sure it continues to receive a comparable level of protection. For transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) or another valid transfer mechanism. For transfers from Singapore, we require recipients to protect personal information to a standard comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.

6. How long we keep personal information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this Policy, including to meet legal, accounting and reporting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. After your membership ends, we handle your member data as set out in our Membership Agreement. De-identified and aggregated research data may be kept indefinitely.

7. How we protect personal information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to people who need the information, and confidentiality obligations for our team and vendors. No system is completely secure. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

8.1 Choices everyone has

Wherever you live, you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Withdraw consent you have given, for example for marketing, without affecting processing that happened before.
  • Opt out of marketing by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or by contacting us. We will still send you messages about your account and the Services.

8.2 How to make a request

Email privacy@bridgefundingglobal.com or write to us at the address in Section 12. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by confirming details linked to your account or email address. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that you authorized them and verify your identity directly.

We respond within the time the applicable law requires, generally within 30 days (45 days in some U.S. states, extendable where the law allows). We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, we will explain why, and where the law provides it you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will answer your appeal within the time the law requires.

8.3 California residents

If you live in California, you have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, to the extent it applies to Bridge: to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1: identifiers; professional and employment information; commercial information (such as membership purchases); internet and network activity; approximate location; audio and visual information (event photos and recordings); inferences (such as matching preferences); and sensitive personal information (demographic information). We collect them from the sources in Section 1, for the purposes in Section 2, and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 3.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes permitted by law and described in Section 1.2. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

California residents may also request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code § 1798.83). We do not make such disclosures without your consent.

8.4 Residents of other U.S. states

Residents of Texas, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to confirm, access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling, and to appeal our decisions. You can exercise them as described in Section 8.2. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

8.5 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Bridge Funding Global LLC is the controller of your personal information. We rely on these legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Services and membership you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: to run matching and events, verify profiles, improve and secure the Services, conduct research, and send relevant updates to business contacts. We balance these interests against your rights.
  • Explicit consent: for demographic information you provide in your application.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and certain marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to keep records and respond to lawful requests.

In addition to the rights in Section 8.1, you have the right to restrict our processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests (including profiling and direct marketing), to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children

The Services are for professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

The Services may link to websites and services we do not control, such as partner sites, registration platforms and video hosts. This Policy does not apply to them, and we encourage you to read their privacy notices.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will tell members by email or through the platform, and post a notice on our website, at least 30 days before the changes take effect unless the law requires a change sooner. Where the law requires your consent to a change, we will ask for it.

13. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, consistent with our Membership Agreement, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you have under the privacy laws of the place where you live.
